Meet from 10 at the Bradgate Arms.
The pub is hopeful that refreshments can be provided from 10am and the walk will start at 10:30.

The Bradgate Arms
15 Station Road,
Cropston,
Leicestershire, LE7 7HG

The pub menu can be seen here: https://www.bradgatearmscropstonleicestershire.co.uk/menus

The walk is through Bradgate Park to the Lady Jane Grey ruin before turning east up the fields and a lane back to Cropston.

The first part of the walk is along hard surfaces until the turn back to Cropston. Anyone who doesn't fancy a walk across the fields they could just retrace the walk back to the pub.
There is a cafe and toilet facilities in the park.

The map left shows the first part of the walk. It abruptly finished for some of us where the red line ends.

Terry slipped? tripped? dived? on the path and fell face first on it. Glasses smashed and lots of blood. He wanted to carry on but it didn't look good and he and Mike went back to the pub and then to Leicester RI via Loughborough hospital. Ten hours later and patched up a bit he got home.

Later, after lunch, John was (very) unwell and an ambulance was called. John also spent lots of hours in Leicester RI A & E, a couple of them with Terry..
