Moorgreen nr Greasley, Notts Thursday 24 April 2025 |
Time to put the boots on again gentlemen for a short walk from the Horse and Groom pub that we last visited in 2018. Arrangements are slightly different from normal as the Horse and Groom won’t do teas and coffees to start. So here goes then: We will have tea/coffee at 10.00am at the Parish Oven Tea Rooms (NG16 2AB) situated right next to Greasley church on the left hand side of the B600 approaching from Nuthall. There is plenty of parking at the Tea Rooms and it is only a couple of hundred yards from the Horse and Groom. We will move to the pub (parking at the top of the car park) about 10.30/10.45am to order our lunches and go on the walk at about 11.00am. Details of the walk are as follows: 10am assemble for tea/coffee at The Parish Tea Rooms (NG 16 2AB) as detailed above. 11am - walking from The Horse and Groom, Moorgreen, nr Greasley Notts NG16 2FE – 01773 713417 DIRECTIONS TO THE PARISH OVEN TEA ROOMS, MOORGREEN: Come off the M1 at Junction 26 and take the A610 to Nottingham, stay in the inside lane and at the first roundabout take the B600 to Nuthall. Stay on the B600 – it is about 3 miles to our destination. The postcode for Sat Nav is given above. WALK: The walk is just over 3 miles on quiet country lanes and easy footpaths. There are NO stiles, one short incline and a couple of muddy patches!!! We will aim to get back to the pub for 12.45 for lunch at 1.00pm. Can you please let me know if you can attend by Sunday 20 April at the latest. Cheers
